Anytime: Arrive in Punta Gorda.
Anytime after about 3pm, until ???: Optionally check in with the Head Jib Trimmer in Charge (HJTIC). Get to know your fellow Sun Cat owners and enjoy cocktails and snacks. We’ll be happy to have the big grill set up here Friday afternoon, in case anyone wants to cook out. However, we’re only cooking for all of you once, and that happens on Saturday.
You can park your trailer for the week-end on the property, if you wish. Pitch your tent if you want to stay on-site. Bathroom facilities will be available in the little house, if we don’t have too many people staying on site. Too many people would overwhelm the very old septic system, so you might end up using a bucket. A privacy-screened outdoor shower is also available, and if there are any crazy people who actually want to swim in November, the pond is always open.
If you like to camp in a more civilized fashion, there are several hotels and motels in town, ranging from the waterfront Best Western to the upscale Wyvern, just across the street from Laishley Marina.

11ish: Races will take place in upper Charlotte Harbor. You can launch and retrieve at one of the boat ramps in town, or launch at our private boat ramp and spend a couple of extra hours making your way down Shell Creek to the Peace River to the harbor and back up again. Either way is fine with us!
Afternoon/evening: BBQ Awards Dinner at the property of the HJTIC. (See map.)
